Welcome to Casa del Nelson
The plane touched down at 2:10 p.m. Waiting was Santiago, the excellent host of Casa del Nelson (also known as the "house of many flags"). Whisked through downtown San Jose and down the highway toward Cabo San Lucas we entered into a wonderful time of fun and brotherhood. Since that first visit I had the opportunity to return with my family to Jerry's estate, and it was even better the second time around.

Phi Kappa Psi is a life-long brotherhood. The friendships may change location but are never finished. A week or a decade may pass but the bond remains. This is the secret behind Cabo.

Jerry Nelson (California Epsilon, 48') and his wife Florence welcome Phi Psi alumni and undergraduates from across time and the country to join them at their estate at Cabo San Lucas. During that first visit I was involved in house corporation meetings. Through the day there are informal meetings where ideas were shared and the essence of fraternity was distilled. At night the band moved into the city of Los Cabos, to enjoy seafood, music, and the enjoyment of brotherhood.

This page has been established to share photographs of these gatherings and to point out the pleasure and benefits of fraternal association. We all have within us the potential to achieve and exceed our goals but few are able to reach to the highest levels. These photos capture those who have already defined the importance of character and commitment. We hope that others will visit this site and consider if they have the internal drive to join us. For alumni of Phi Kappa Psi we hope you will be inspired to be involved with your local chapter and national organization. For young men considering their future we hope that you can see yourself in these scenes.

Phi Psis are not better than their fellow man. If anything they share the pain of failure and limited success from earlier times in their lives. Phi Psis are men who recognize the need to set and meet the higher standard...not to just do the minimum but to place the yardstick higher and persist.

Enjoy these pictures...We hope to see you soon. If you are an alumnus of the Texas Beta Chapter be sure and email Brian Carr to be placed on the mailing list we will be using to coordinate our next trip to Cabo or to another of Jerry's estates.

Brother Jim Blazer is congratulated on his successful workshop series.

Brother Russell Jong offers his insight to mastering Cabo:

Bulldogs are dangerous, and should only be consumed at the rate of less than four an hour.

If you're drinking with Jerry, make sure you order your own drink;establishments tend to make his drinks triples.

Definitely avoid the orange stuff they shoot across the table into your mouth at Squid Roe. I'm not sure what it is, but after an hour you don't want to know (Tequila and something).

Definitely plan your spring breaks around the idea of traveling to Jerry's place in Cabo.

The girl's name in the black dress, who danced on the bar is Sharon, Shannon, or something like that...ask Dom.

The strip joint is overrated, you get better stuff over the internet.
